These are definitely grape hyacinth. They've come more into bloom since I took the first picture.

Aren't they? I love flowers. I don't know much about them, but I love them. Dar used to plant purple tulips for me at our old place, but we can't plant anything here. These were planted by the former owner.

Purple tulips! I've never seen that. We have tulips (in the usual range of colors). They are coming up all over the front area, among all the dead bushes and weeds. We cannot get to these things!

I love things that come up in the yard unexpected especially. I have a black thumb; Gary a green thumb. But I do love surprise flowers, the bright colors coming up and hope to one day know their names (my mom was so good at all that!).

They're one of my favorite flowers. These were growing along the flower bed in front of the house.

..You're very tired. Terrible things can happen when you're overtired. :( (Random aside: I swear I'm the only person I know who quotes from the novel version of The Princess Bride.)

*hugs you and gives you tea*

They are lovely, though. In fact, I think grape hyacinths look pretty silly, so you're better off. They just look weird to you because they're not the borderline OCD type of hyacinth that's used for mass production.
