Come on, then. Impress me with your plans for bringing in '08. Let this old curmdudgeonly woman garner a few vicarious thrills from tales of your planned debaucheries. Be they ever so debauchless in reality.

No, really, guys. What do y'all have planned to bring in the big Oh Eight? Inquiring minds want to know.

I am going in to work. And then, to ring in the new year, I will either a) go to bed, or b) fall asleep on the couch. :)

I know. Teh Krazy just never ends here.

I think Dar is already in bed, so it's not like this is Party Central, either :) However you spend it, I hope it ushers in a much better year for you, sweetie.

Got slammed at work tonight (ugh), but before I go and crawl into a nice warm coma, I just wanted to reciprocate those wishes to you, and Dar and all your family, monkeys and 'pacas and kitties, alike. :) I truly hope your life will be much less interesting this year! :)

I have yummy food and drink and plans to stay up late and read fanfic and drink vodka. I'm hoping some nsps will join me on AIM, but will be content to hang out by myself and entertain my cats if need be.

Vodka! That's not something I hear people talking about drinking that much anymore. Do you mix it or drink it straight out of the bottle? Heh. Or is it one of the flavored ones like lemon or vanilla. Actually I like those ice cold. I shall be falling back (hopefully not literally) on my old standby Bailey's.

Happy New Year, sweetie pie!

I like the flavored ones on ice tooo. Tonight it's green apple vodka mixed with cranberry juice. Mmmmm. And somewhat healthy! :-)

Happy to you too!

[livejournal.com profile] puffgirl_two and [Unknown site tag] are coming over to watch cheesy TV. With puff and I both being sick, it is unlikely there is going to be a lot of drinking. I'm pretty sure booze doesn't mix with decongestants...or maybe it mixes too well. There will be pizza though. Woot.

Booze + decongestants = wackiness + fall down go boom. It has its charms as far as being entertaining goes, and as you know, I speak from experience.

Have a wonderful evening, colds notwithstanding, and Happy New Years to my favorite Torchicks!

We might hit a movie in the afternoon, then Chinese food, then we plan to watch our Stardust DVD.

Ah, an old fashioned home style New Year's Eve :) I still haven't seen Stardust, although I remember really enjoying the book. (Not as much as I loved Nevermore though.)

Have a lovely New Year's Eve, my friend, and a happy, healthy new year to my favorite nuclear family!

I'm working until 6. Then off to Somerville where my Boy Ron and his girlfriend are having a party. Not particularly looking forward to that, but we'll see how it goes. After that, I'm crashing at Mom's so we can have brunch together tomorrow and I can set up her new GPS.

I'm also spending the day mentally giving 2007 the finger and telling it not to let the door hit it on its way out. :D

Give it the finger for me, too, while you're at it :)

I was never crazy about NYE parties, either. I mean, I always enjoyed seeing my friends, but I never got the whole theme of it, you know? It always was forced on my part. But still . . . Happy New Year's my Gatechen! Have fun with your mom (as you always do) and here's to a new year that lives up to the promise it always holds out.

I plan to be sleeping. Is that so wrong?

(Though before I go to bed, I'll be having a black cow (vanilla ice cream in sarsaparilla).)

Nothing wrong with sleeping :) I expect to be asleep - well at least abed - before midnight, and that's a fact.

So that's what goes into a black cow. I thought it was milk, coke, chocolate syrup, and ice cream. I actually had that concoction and it was pretty good.

Happy New Year, my budnik! Here's to a 2008 with health and rest and full but groovy employment which leads to your own place and a Bud/Suzy OTP!

Thanks. Happy New Year, Mays. *hugs*

I'm going to a party that has been an annual event for 20 years. Of course, I haven't been to all of them ;-)

Ah, sounds like fun:) Back in the day we had friends who would hold two annual parties (Christmas and Rain [yeah, the annual Rain Party]), and it was as much the tradition of it as the occasion that made it so much fun, you know?

I hope you have a grand time. Happy New Year to you and G, and I hope this one brings you health and answers and warmth and love unbounded.

Thanks! I hope the best for you too for 2008 and onwards. Obviously me posting a response at 1:30 PM the next day means a good time was had at the party. Didn't get home until 3:30 AM.

Hey, good for you! It's been a hell of a year for you, and I'm glad that you got to kick out the old and usher in the new with some fun.

Well, I can certainly get behind the first part of that :) Sorry that you're still sick, honey.

Considering the year you've had, 2008 should by all odds be better, yes? I mean, really . . . Happy New Year to you , my friend. And I pray that it truly is just that for you.

Eat pork and sauerkraut while watching copious amounts of LOST Season 3.

Ha! And yummmm. I was raised on pork and sauerkraut, in case you didn't know. That was Sunday-after-church-winter-dinner almost ever Sunday, served with mashed potatoes and fresh, still warm rye bread with lots of butter available. My mouth, she waters :)

So do you the southern black-eyed peas dish on New Year's Day?

Happy New Year to you, Kells! I hope your decisions are easy and your destinations always welcoming and full of love.

Cook a nice dinner for the parents and myself, catch up on LJ, watch the Royal Canadian Air Farce special, maybe have a beverage or three, think about making some semi-inebriated phonecalls, and sift through the dvd stash to find something to watch.

I believe you have the equivalent of the Netflix DVD vault at your place, so that could take up your whole evening right there :)

Happy New Year to you, Philster! I hope 2008 treats you well and opens so many doors for you that you'll be gobsmacked by the choices.

The whole evening and the first three weeks of January if my calculations are right. And that's only if I don't purchase anymore.

I watched the 1982 theatrical release of Bladerunner and had a couple of rye 'n cokes to ring in the New Year. Pretty quiet evening.
