My wires are crossed
28 March 2010 22:03This is not a whiny post, really. It's a "huh" post. (See icon.) My neurological system is going haywire, I think. Nothing threatening, mind you, just weird.
For the past week, I've been smelling burning plastic or burning electronics everywhere. Everywhere. It started very suddenly and very intensely. I thought Mark had put plastic in the oven or someone microwaved something toxic, but there was nothing. The intensity isn't always that great now, but the smell is there. Very disconcerting.
I can't sleep. I read that some people on my flist are sleeping 12 hours a day . . . and I envy them. Not that I'd want to do that every day, but I wish I could at least nap for a few hours. Not happening. I was exhausted this morning before chores, during chores, after chores. So what do I do? I go help Deb in the mill for a little bit. Then I came back to the house and cleaned it. Then drove into town to get a prescription refilled. Then went out to the barn to check on the girls. Twice. And now I'm still awake even though I'm very tired. I sometimes think that I'll never sleep again. Even four hours straight without waking up would be a help. Again, I think it's something in my neurological system. Something's buzzing and crackling and not letting me sleep. Hopefully it will change for the better just as quickly.
Dar comes home in a few days. Yay! And the weather forecasters keep swearing that we're going to get sun and warmer temperatures. So far they've been failing with their forecasts, but hope springs eternal. At least it's not snowing. Yay! And
sffan is coming out to visit over the Easter holiday. Yay! And Deb's alpaca girl, Olivia, is on the mend. Yay!
Have a good night, guys.
