My iPod clock-radio lives!! It turns out that there's an interchangeable piece on the body that adapts to different sizes of iPods. Of course, being me with my weird perception problems, I really couldn't even notice it, and they didn't list my iPod specifically among the compatible models. Mark came in to take a look at it, and within just a few seconds had it figured out. Yay! So I've got it all set up, and I've been in iPod heaven for the past hour. It's so cool not to have to listen under headphones. [livejournal.com profile] travestine, I won't be needing those adapters after all, thanks :)

AND, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] hnybny I have the problem with my defective iTunes gift card all sorted out. The support team sent me a new redemption code this afternoon, so I'm all set.

It's Christmas all over again! Yay!

But there is no good without a little bad, so I'm enjoying my good luck in the midst of a miserable lupus flare. It's been building for the past 12 hours or so, and I really, really hope that it peaks tonight sometime. [livejournal.com profile] sffan and [livejournal.com profile] puffgirl_two are coming for the long weekend, and Q got back from Chicago this evening, and tomorrow is New Year's Eve and I just want to be feeling at least somewhat human. I think I'm going to have to up my prednisone if things don't start to improve in the next few days. I've been having more bad days than good this past week, but I'm hoping that it's just a bump in the road, as they say. If I have to up it, that'll put me at 7.5 mg a day, and while that's not a megadose by any means (waves to [livejournal.com profile] aw_lemongirl), it's a problem point for me personally. I had a hard time weaning down from that point last time. Eh well, no use in borrowing trouble; it may not come to that.

In the meantime . . . music! I love my music :)

Happiest of Happy Birthdays to [livejournal.com profile] malterre!

O, Warrior Woman, I hope the next year brings you fewer battles and more peace and joy. You've earned your victories, now let there be rest and fun. And lots of drumming.
