Dar and I were both feeling better today, thankfully. I paid for my last two days of being active by falling asleep a lot today, but you know if that's the trade off, I'll take it. I got out there early(ish) this morning and got in a little more mowing, too. What can I say - I love that lawn tractor :)
Uh, the icon is apropos of nothing other than my Kathryn Erbe/Alex Eames love. Thanks,
budclare, for pointing me to the CI icon community!
I heard back from my doctor's office today; I have an appointment for a CTscan of my kidneys on Monday 8/27. That was quick. I was expecting a requisition for a kidney ultrasound, but my doctor believes (mistakenly) that there is no such thing, so she got me the CT instead. Fine by me :)
On a related subject, MGH in Boston is proving to be a great online resource for me; they have a service called Infotrac that can only be accessed by the public if you have a valid MA library card. I got rid of my MA library cards last year - does anyone in MA mind me using their card # so I can access this service? I promise not to use your card to look up anything scurrilous or nefarious. Unless you'd like me to *g*
Still no cria from Cinnamon Girl. Dar said she thought it was going to happen at one point this AM, but it was a false alarm. Poor CG; she's waddling and moaning and is just generally unhappy. Because this is her first, she probably has no idea what's going on with her; I want to pet her and tell her it's OK, but of course that's out of the question, her being the stand-offish suri that she is. Dar was saying that all of our friends in the co-op had crias today, and they were all girls, too. Sigh. Come on, Cinnamon Girl! You can do it, honey.
Yeah, that's about it. Oh, there was a mass escape of the alpacas this evening from the girls' paddock into Hannibal's paddock, but I'll let Dar give you the details. Never a dull moment, I tell you.
