1. I've been back and forth on the LJ purging thing, never really in their corner, but then never quite as incensed as many of you. Bottom line, but not definitively, LJ over-reacted, but then they're a corporate entity and not our safe clubhouse so I can't get all that shocked about it. (Pissed, yes; shocked, no.) It's a sign of the times and this sort of shit will follow certain fandoms no matter where they go. My biggest concern is for the survivor individuals and comms who had their (they assumed) safe havens yanked out from under them. Hopefully 6A will make it right with them, but I suppose that's a naive hope.

dark_christian, which tracks Dominionist doings in the US. One of the posters did some excellent research on the WoI bozos and came up with some surprising and unsettling stuff about their connections to Joel's Army and other ultra-Christian Right groups. Not to mention some other scary fringe groups.
3. In similar but unrelated vein, Rupert Murdoch Jr. now owns not only MySpace but also Photobucket. The biz blogs are throwing out some cautions that the day will come when you'll need a MySpace paid account to continue using Photobucket. windrider67 I now have a Flickr account, but I'll be downloading and archiving the stuff I still have on Pb very shortly.
4. Conchita may be giving birth very, very soon. Cria Watch is back in action!
5. We had a big ol' smog alert today. The air was most foul and set off my asthma again.
6. X-rays and blood work tomorrow. I'm on the waiting list for physio therapy. That waiting list? Six months long at least. Yeah.
7. I have white spots on my throat, which btw feels as if it's on fire as do both ear canals. Another wtf moment. Dar gave me yet more antibiotics and some benadryl, and it's starting to ease up.
8. No cowboy sing-a-long in the car today, but the Nana and I had a great discussion about religion in general and the Catholic church in specific. I love that kind of stuff.
