Today was a good day. The past three have been terrible, and I had no reason to believe that today wouldn't follow suit, but so far it's been pretty smooth. Some wheeziness but nothing - nothing! - like the past couple of days. I even got to run some errands and breathe some (very, very cold) fresh air. I'm hoping that this continues. Really, really hoping.
Among the good things today:
1. No snow! Or at least not much snow :) There was sunlight and everything! I'm serious, it's snowed every day for almost two weeks now. Enough already.
2. Because of all that snow, and especially because of the high winds in addition to all the lake effect snow, we had these huge snow drifts in the driveway and the front walk. The bottom third of our (long) driveway was impassable. Today we tracked down the neighbor guy with the tractor and got him to plow it out for us. And in case you think that I'm exaggerating about how big the drifts were, the neighbor guy charged us 50% above his usual fee to clear them out. But you know, at $15 it was still a hell of a bargain :)
3. Pixel. Or more specifically Pixel and the big canvas shopping bag that she's claimed as her own. No critter on earth has more fun than Pixel and her big canvas bag. She charges across the room full speed into it and then slides across the floor like she's on a sled or a surf board. She'll crawl inside and wait impatiently for me to grab the handle and drag her and the bag around the house with me. She loves being swung gently back and forth like she's in a porch glider. The girl loves her bag.
4. That Star Trek/Camelot vid. Bwah!
