It's the tree, isn't it? I said to myself, "Hils, is gonna like the tree." Hee. Thanks, Hilsy; I'm psyched about how well it came out, too. I took one a little earlier that was even prettier, but I was holding my work gloves when I took it, and . . . one of the fingers of the glove showed up in the lower corner :)

Thanks! I like it a lot, too. Really, the early mornings around here this week have been drop dead gorgeous. I can't wait to see what it looks like once the leaves start turning.

If you don't mind, I'm making a link so folks can see where we were last weekend. And yes he is a bit of a goof ;-)

Question; are your alpacas big for their breed? Sue said something about Gertie being "tall" and I was curious

Link away, mal. I don't usually flock my stuff, but thanks for asking.

Yupper, Gertie is big for an alpaca and especially for a female. She's from the original Peruvian herd, and they grew them hardy up there in the altaplano.

How cool! We're going to learn how next spring when we have the big group shearing session going on. At which time Tom Redpath - a bit of a legend I hear - will also be cutting off the young males' fighting teeth. Oh yes, that will be a time :)

Not bad for a former denizen of Slummerville, eh? Now if we only had a Trader Joe's and the Red Sox . . .
